At Ask GodAI we respect your privacy. This policy clearly explains what information we use to give you a personalized spiritual experience, who we share it with, and what you can do with it.
Information we collect
We store your account information (name, email, language and time zone), your questionnaire answers, your progress and in-app activity, your chat questions and your prayer requests. Some questionnaire answers can be personal, such as your family situation, your faith or what you are going through (for example health, mood or finances): we only use them to personalize your content. We also receive technical data, such as your IP address and browser or device type, to protect your account and measure our ads.
How we use your information
We use your data to create your personalized devotionals, prayers and answers, save your progress, send you emails about your account and subscription, send reminders if you turn them on, send the verse notification to your phone if you turn it on (for that we store your device's notification identifier and your time zone, and delete it if you turn it off or log out), protect your account, and improve the app.
Artificial intelligence
To create your devotionals, prayers, audio and chat answers, we send OpenAI the text it needs: your questionnaire answers, your questions and your prayer requests. OpenAI processes it only to generate that response and, under its policies for API customers, does not use that data to train its models. We recommend not writing anything you don't want to share.
Providers that help us
We use outside companies that receive only what they need to provide their service: Supabase (database and accounts), Vercel (hosting and usage statistics), PostHog (usage statistics and recordings of how the app is used, with all text and everything you type hidden), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), OpenAI (artificial intelligence), Sentry (error detection), Cloudflare (bot protection) and your browser's notification service (Google, Apple or Mozilla), which delivers the verse notification if you turn it on. We do not sell your information.
Advertising and campaign measurement
We use Meta's measurement tools (Facebook and Instagram), such as the Meta Pixel and its Conversions API, to learn which ads work. Meta may receive your irreversibly encrypted email, your IP address, browser data, the pages you visit on Ask GodAI and actions such as starting your trial or subscribing, and it may use cookies. We never share your password, your questionnaire answers, or the content of your devotionals, chats or prayers with Meta. You can manage your ad preferences in those platforms' own settings.
Payments and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Stripe. Ask GodAI does not store your full card details.
Your data and your choices
In Settings you can download a copy of your data or delete your account. When you delete it we cancel your subscription and erase your personal data, except what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
Security
We protect your information with secure authentication, a database with access controls, and encrypted connections.
